Most importantly, they are anonymous. The natural reluctance to answer a question, for fear of being wrong or looking stupid, is taken right out of the equation as participants give their answers freely by simply pressing one of a number of buttons on the machine. The data from all answers given is immediately shown on the presenter’s screen.
There are many uses for this technology in education and ChiLab is at the forefront of innovative teaching once again.
“It is possible to capture the data and use the technology for assessments etc,” said ChiLab Program Manager Anastasia Mak.
“But we find the best use to be as a simple question and answer tool during a presentation. Everyone gets involved and it gives us an immediate and accurate take on what the participants know or think about the subject we are talking about. The immediate feedback is invaluable.”
