Life and Wine Skills – that is the theme of ChiLab’s slightly different skills class, the one that doesn’t exactly fit into the basic eight-module program schedule. This two and a half hour presentation covers some of the basic Life Skills principles – Changing Habits, Creativity and Communication Skills – and finishes with a lively introduction to wine appreciation.
Designed as fun – but fun with a purpose – this module is ideal for companies who wish to reward their staff with a totally different training experience, while still ensuring considerable measurable benefits accrue.
Understanding and developing the ability to change habits – so fundamental to ChiLab’s training strategies – is the first topic, followed by a lively half-hour where a range of creative skills are covered in enough detail to really stimulate the brain cells. Then some important areas of communication – centered around the use of modern technology, as well as the basics of active and empathic listening – round out the personal skills side of the module.
The final hour is spent on wine appreciation with the objective being that each participant will leave with the confidence to order from a wine list knowledgeably, as well as understand the basic terminology. Words and expressions like “acidity”, “tannin”, “aged in oak barrels”, aspects of different grapes and wine regions will be no longer hold any mystery.
Like all ChiLab Programs, this module can be tailored to suit any situation. With a group where basic wine knowledge is already quite good, the wine skills side of the presentation can be lifted to another level. Or perhaps a particular group might wish to focus more on Emotional Intelligence or Conflict Resolution that the Life Skills topics of the basic presentation?
The module-style approach to ChiLab’s work is seen at its best here where HR Directors can access training like diners at an interesting and delicious buffet. Pick and choose what is most needed or what looks most tasty!
As usual with ChiLab training – all things are possible.
