CHILAB LIMITED has appointed an Advisory Board to help guide its training policy and content. Each of these people is a leader in his field and they constitute an outstanding resource for the company as it further develops its strategies. The Board has worked diligently in the quest to create Industry Standards for Relationship Orientation.

Advisory Board Members:

Dr Robert (Bob) BUTCHER

Dr Butcher has been working in the field of Higher Education for over 25 years, 15 of which have been spent in Hong Kong. He is particularly interested in the education and continuing educational development needs of adults. He presents widely on topics such as administrative and management systems and organizational quality assurance.

Dr Butcher has carried out many overseas consultancy projects for governments and organizations in countries such as Canada, Lesotho, Malaysia and South Africa.

Professor David ARTHUR

Professor Arthur has a well established clinical and research background in mental health nursing and psychology. His clinical and research work has focused on two areas: people with schizophrenia and their families; and the development of brief cognitive-behavioral interventions for use by non-specialist health care workers in areas such as post-natal depression, anxiety disorders, problem drinking and gambling.

As an educator he has taught and developed numerous programmes relating to the practice of mental health care, communication and counselling for both professional health care workers and people working in corporate sectors. He has worked in universities in Australia, Asia, UK and North America and currently holds the position of Professor and Head, The Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Professor Chung-Yee LEE

Dr. Chung-Yee Lee is Head and Chair Professor of the Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management Department at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST). He is also the Founding and Current Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Institute at HKUST. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers in U.S. and also a Fellow of Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Science. Before joining HKUST in 2001, he was Rockwell Chair Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Texas A&M University.

His search areas are in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Scheduling and Inventory Management. He worked as a plant manager and also had few years consulting experience in Taiwan. In the past 23 years he has also engaged in numerous research projects sponsored by NSF, RGC, ITF, IBM, Excel, Motorola, AT&T Paradyne, Harris Semiconductor, Northern Telecom, Martin Marietta, Hactl, HIT and Philips Medical, etc. He has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals and is currently serving in the editorial board of eight professional journals.

He received his Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering (1972) and a Master degree in Management Sciences (1976) from National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan. He also received a Master degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University in 1980 and his Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from Yale University in 1984.

Kieran F RING

Mr Ring is the founder and CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics - based in New York - and has worked at the heart of Global Logistics since 1996. He was founding chairman of the Global Logistics Forum - the private members body set up in 1997 to document the rise of the global logistics industry. Kieran is an I.E, by profession and has had a long career in trade, technical and scientific publishing, as well as working as a publisher on leading European business and supply chain publications. He has presented and featured at conferences and events internationally to support and promote the work of global logisticians.

Gilbert COLLINS

Mr Collins has practised as a solicitor/lawyer in the UK and Hong Kong since 1977 and the last 25 years in HK, always in a private practice. He has been a partner in small and large international practices and is a named partner in his firm - a medium sized Hong Kong firm which deals with a wide spectrum of clients and legal services. Gilbert specialises in trademark and copyright law and has been involved in Hong Kong in international community projects through service with Rotary since 1983 including a year as President.

Paul GOLDSBROUGH

Mr Goldsbrough is President for Business Development (Asia) for logistics service provider Hellmann Worldwide. He is responsible for developing business relationships and end-to-end supply chain solutions with major organizations sourcing out of Asia. Mr Goldsbrough spent 10 years in the international and domestic express parcels business with United Parcels, followed by 12 years with the Inter Forward Group as a sales and marketing director where he built a third-party logistics business across 14 European countries and a global freight-forwarding network. He moved to Hellmann Worldwide in 1999, first becoming UK Managing Director, then moving to Hong Kong to take up his present position in 2003.

David H. EDWARDS

Mr. Edwards holds a Master of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Dynamics, Master of Business Administration, and a BA in Criminal Justice. He is a prominent businessman who began his career in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, rising to senior command status. He started his own business in 1983 and is now Chairman or Managing Director of eight successful companies. Widely traveled, Mr. Edwards has visited over 70 countries on various business matters and is very familiar with China having traveled to every province. A member of Mensa, Mr. Edwards is an Honorary Council member of the China Friendship Peace and Development Foundation.

Gene TYNDALL

Gene Tyndall is currently President of Supply Chain Executive Advisors, LLC, (SCEA), a global firm comprised of senior executives who provide strategic advice and management counsel to senior business and public officials around the world. Gene is a globally experienced and recognized management consulting and business executive, having advised over 100 corporations in over 40 countries. He has co-authored four books (including SUPERCHARGING SUPPLY CHAINS); written dozens of articles; and is frequently quoted in business and industry media. He is a frequent seminar/conference chairperson, speaker, moderator, and panelist around the world. He is a Director on Public and Private Boards.

Prior to founding SCEA, Gene was Executive Vice-President at Ryder System, Inc., a FORTUNE 500 global corporation based in Miami, FL. He was also President of the company's Global Logistics Division, a $1.8Billion Business Unit providing logistics services for over 400 client companies around the world. In addition to leading substantial improvements in profitability and shareholder value, he helped lead the corporation's strategic planning process; transformed its business processes and operations; and initiated new technologies, programs for change management and knowledge management, and a new product development process.

Prior to joining Ryder, Gene was a Senior Partner and Leader of the Ernst & Young Global Supply Chain Management Consulting Practice, growing the business to over $1Billion annually. He advised and led business transformations for over 100 well-known global corporations during his consulting career - across several industries including High-Tech, Consumer Electronics, Health Care, Energy, Consumer Products/Retail, Transportation/Logistics, and Automotive. Examples of these global clients include: P&G; Coca-Cola; 3M; Becton Dickinson; Kellogg's; Dell; HP; Cisco; Samsung; Philips; Ford; GM; Toyota; Harley-Davidson; VW; J&J; Eli Lilly; Xerox; Georgia Pacific; DHL/Exel Logistics; several International Airlines; and dozens of others. Many of the Supply Chain and Logistics practices, processes, and technologies in place in global businesses today are due to his contributions. He has resided in 4 countries and worked in over 40 nations. He also was a member of the firm's Strategic Planning Team, as well as a designer and lead facilitator with the firm's Accelerated Solutions Center (ASE).

Gene was a U.S. Navy Officer, serving globally on an aircraft carrier and at the Pentagon. He graduated from the University of Maryland; The George Washington University; the Institute of Management Development in Switzerland; and several executive training programs at Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Miami.

Gene was recently awarded the "Global Logistics Person of 2007" by the Global Institute of Logistics, which also voted him into the Global Logistics Hall of Fame.

He was named one of the "Top Ten Innovators for 2002" by Information Week magazine. He has won several awards as a Keynote Speaker, Group Facilitator, and Conference Chairman.
