ABOUT GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF LOGISTICS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Relationship Orientation Program.jpg The Global Institute of Logistics Training and Development Council has opened an office in Hong Kong to deliver its innovative Relationship Orientation Certificate Program to the global logistics community.  The office will also serve as the base from which the institute will roll out further educational tools.

Based in New York, the Global Institute of Logistics is a not-for-profit organization and was founded in 2001 by the members of the Global Logistics Forum under the Chairmanship of the late Robert V. Delaney (1936-2004) the renowned U.S. logistics commentator and author.

The Institute acts as a bridge between the academic world and the industry and as a learning centre for a growing community of multinational corporations, third party logistics providers and their supply chain partners.

Robert V. Dalaney.jpgIn fact, it was Robert Delaney who said that relationships would carry the industry into the future and this type of thinking from industry thought leaders, as well as the growing body of work from academics which endorses the vital importance of Relationship Management, has led the Global Institute of Logistics to focus on developing a training program in relationships.

Pictured below, in the new training centre, are Bruce Stinson, Executive Director Training and Development and Anastasia Mak, Program Manager.

The ultra-modern and extremely functional office contains a classroom where up to 40 participants can be taken through any form of training exercise.  The very latest technology is used - including polling machines for instant feedback, which ensure seminars and workshops are totally interactive and thus much more interesting.

Bruce Stinson and Anastasia Mak.jpgPart of the classroom can be transformed into a 14-seat Board Room and the open part of the class room can also be quickly restructured into a work-station area for tutors and back-up staff when classes are not being held.  This innovative design is extremely practical.  .

"Of course, not all of our work will be in Hong Kong, or even Asia, but this facility is designed to fill the back-up role for all programs the institute eventually endorses and develops."
